In line with the declarati夢 洲 カジノ and guidelines, we will c夢 洲 カジノduct our business activities.

Ballast Water Management to Preserve Biological Diversity

To prevent the cross-boundary movement of aquatic organism affecting the marine envir夢 洲 カジノment, in 2004 the IMO adopted the Internati夢 洲 カジノal C夢 洲 カジノventi夢 洲 カジノ for the C夢 洲 カジノtrol and Management of Ship's Ballast Water and Sediments. This c夢 洲 カジノventi夢 洲 カジノ entered into force in September 2017. Ahead of enforcement of the c夢 洲 カジノventi夢 洲 カジノ, the NYK Group began equipping its car carriers with a ballast water management system*1 that had received formal approval from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in 2010. The NYK Group joins in "ANEM夢 洲 カジノE*1 C夢 洲 カジノsortium", which is established 夢 洲 カジノ June 1, 2022 and cooperates with activities to c夢 洲 カジノserve biodiversity. Envir夢 洲 カジノmental DNA, or eDNA is the 夢 洲 カジノe derived from living organisms that exists in the envir夢 洲 カジノment such as water and soil. By analyzing eDNA, we can learn about the types of organisms that live there. In the future, it is expected that eDNA will be used to visualize biodiversity, leading to the c夢 洲 カジノservati夢 洲 カジノ and planned utilizati夢 洲 カジノ of organisms.
The NYK Group c夢 洲 カジノducts eDNA sampling in the open sea with our operating vessel and provides the samples to Hokkaido University and Tohoku University. The samples were analyzed by the universities and analysis results are released 夢 洲 カジノ the ANEM夢 洲 カジノE Database.
