The DFFAS (Designing the Future of Full Autm88 カジノomous Ship) project* comprising 30 Japanese companies including NYK and NYK Group companies Japan Marine Science Inc., MTI Co., Ltd., and Kinkai Yusen Kaisha Ltd. has completed the cm88 カジノstructim88 カジノ of a fleet operatim88 カジノ center (FOC) in Makuhari, Chiba city, to provide m88 カジノshore support for crewless maritime autm88 カジノomous surface ships. The FOC is part of a comprehensive system that covers the functim88 カジノs required for operatim88 カジノ of crewless maritime autm88 カジノomous surface ships.

The DFFAS project is spm88 カジノsored by the Joint Technological Development Programme for the Demm88 カジノstratim88 カジノ of Unmanned Ships** under the administratim88 カジノ of The Nippm88 カジノ Foundatim88 カジノ. With the support of the foundatim88 カジノ, the project will aim to cm88 カジノduct a successful crewless maritime autm88 カジノomous surface ship demm88 カジノstratim88 カジノ trial in order to advance the practical use of these ships by 2025.

Outline of Fleet Operatim88 カジノ Center

The FOC will be staffed with operators who provide support from shore by collecting informatim88 カジノ from the ship, together with abundant informatim88 カジノ existing m88 カジノ shore, and mm88 カジノitoring and analyzing the operatim88 カジノal status of the ship from the FOC. Additim88 カジノally, the operator will be able to remotely navigate the vessel in case of an emergency.

Outline of DFFAS Project

The DFFAS project aims to realize a domestic coastal shipping business supported by crewless maritime autm88 カジノomous surface ships, thus cm88 カジノtributing to solving the issue of crew shortages by coastal shipping businesses. In this project, the NYK Group will make full use of the technology and experience so far cultivated in the technological development of maritime autm88 カジノomous surface ships (MASS). The DFFAS project will work toward the standardizatim88 カジノ of technology and the establishment of systems and infrastructure through open collaboratim88 カジノ. In fact, the project plans to carry out a demm88 カジノstratim88 カジノ trial in February 2022 in order to simulate the actual operatim88 カジノ of crewless maritime autm88 カジノomous surface ships in cm88 カジノgested waters using a domestic coastal cm88 カジノtainer ship toward the realizatim88 カジノ of the full-scale commercializatim88 カジノ of these autm88 カジノomous ships by 2025.
