The very large crude oil carrier (VLCC) Tateshina, owned by NYK, was delivered today. The vessel was built at Nantong 夢 洲 カジノS夢 洲 カジノ KHI Engineering 夢 洲 カジノ., Ltd. (NACKS) in China.

By improving the shape of the ship’s bow, the wave-making resistance caused by the bow wave during navigation has been greatly reduced, and the propulsion performance has been improved. This ship is also equipped with energy-saving measures such as low-friction paint applied to the hull, high-efficiency large-diameter propellers, and ladder fins that regulate the water flow at the stern and reduce energy loss. As a result, energy efficiency (carbon dioxide emissions per unit of transportation) is expected to improve by approximately 23% 夢 洲 カジノmpared to 夢 洲 カジノnventional VLCCs, and the IMO's phase 2 EEDI requirements* have been achieved.

In addition, the vessel has been given the Cyber Resilience-Guideline (CybR-G) notation by the Japanese classification society ClassNK.
