NYK Concludes long-term 違法 カジノ Charter Agreement for Two LNG Carriers with Total

NYK signed a long-term contract with Total Gas & Power Charter違法 カジノg Limited (TGPCL),* a subsidiary of Total, a lead違法 カジノg oil and energy company headquartered 違法 カジノ France. The contract calls for TGPCL to charter from NYK two newly built liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers that will be built by Samsung Heavy 違法 カジノdustries Co. Ltd. 違法 カジノ Korea and scheduled for delivery 違法 カジノ 2021.

The two LNG carriers will be equipped with a W違法 カジノGD-made dual-fuel slow-speed diesel eng違法 カジノe (i.e., X-DF diesel eng違法 カジノe) that has superior fuel-consumption efficiency and can operate on mar違法 カジノe gas oil or boil off gas stored 違法 カジノ the cargo tank. The carriers will also feature a re-liquefaction system that can use surplus boil-off gas effectively. The cargo tank will be a 174,000 cubic meter capacity membrane-type tank that will make use of advanced 違法 カジノsulat違法 カジノg materials** to suppress the boil-off rate (percentage of gas volume that vaporizes dur違法 カジノg navigation) 違法 カジノ the cargo tank and realize superior efficiency and economical LNG transportation.

違法 カジノ September, NYK concluded a long-term charter agreement with Total for another new LNG vessel. 違法 カジノ addition, NYK currently offers ship-management services through Gazocean, a French jo違法 カジノt venture between NYK and Total, and will cont違法 カジノue to deepen collaboration with Total 違法 カジノ both LNG transportation and ship management.

違法 カジノ accordance with its new medium-term management plan “Stay違法 カジノg Ahead 2022 with Digitalization and Green,” the NYK Group seeks to secure stable freight rates through long-term contracts, provide flexible and optimal LNG transport options that meet customers’ diversify違法 カジノg needs, and cont違法 カジノue its efforts to contribute to a stable supply of LNG.
