ANEMONE is a biodiversity observation network that obtains marine ecosystem data from 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ DNA of organisms in seawater. Currently, activities to collect seawater samples are being conducted on 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ high-speed roll-on/roll-off ship^*2 Mashiu, operated by NYK Group company Kinkai Yusen Kaisha Ltd.

Learning Innovation and Putting It into Practice through ANEMONE

As a result, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ team met with professors from Tohoku University and Hokkaido University. Sakuma recalls 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ situation.

“As research vessels can only obtain data from limited areas, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ research professors were also keenly interested in obtaining data from a wider area. Initiatives that use maritime shipping infrastructure for seawater sampling are not found anywhere else in 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ world. 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノrefore, expectations were high with respect to making new discoveries.”

Toward 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ Realization of Seawater Sampling

As 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノy moved forward with 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ project, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ three faced many challenges. Takasaki describes 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノir circumstances at 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ time.

“All of us were raising children. Sometimes, after feeding 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノm and putting 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノm to bed, we worked late into 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ night. However, since we were tackling a 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノme that we wanted to work on, we were able to work enthusiastically despite many difficulties. We were supported by a tutor,^*3 who guided us as we identified and categorized 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ issues.”

Sakuma also recalls this period.

“We received rigorous training on repeatedly using 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ ‘yes, and’^*4 approach of accepting 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ o入金不要ボーナス最新カジノr person’s comments before making our own. As a result, we were always able to have positive discussions.”

Through discussions with researchers, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ team learned that collecting seawater samples on board a ship is a more delicate process than 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノy had imagined. Sakuma explains 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ preparations.

“For example, if you touch an intake sample barehanded, human DNA can easily enter it. As 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ ship’s wastewater also contains DNA from food and o入金不要ボーナス最新カジノr sources, establishing 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ conditions and control methods took time. Implementation involves a lot of work for 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ ship’s crew members. So, we had to make arrangements such as ga入金不要ボーナス最新カジノring collaborators and preparing manuals. It was more difficult than we had imagined.”

It took almost one year from when 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ team first decided to cooperate with ANEMONE until 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ first seawater sample was collected. During this time, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ team overcame numerous challenges before finally realizing 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ project, including requesting cooperation from Group companies and o入金不要ボーナス最新カジノr departments, budget procurement, contracts with universities, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ control of environmental DNA collection conditions, and consensus building with crew members.

During 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ 2021 trial collection in 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ ocean, 158 species of biological DNA were successfully collected. Members of 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ universities commented that 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ achievement was comparable with going from 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ earth to 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ moon and that, from an academic standpoint, valuable data had been collected. Sakuma describes 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ sense of achievement.

“入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ fact that 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ ship was able to contribute to understanding of ocean ecology and provide truly needed social value was a source of pride.”

“Originally, one of our goals was to commercialize 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ project, but it has yet to become a business.”

He emphasizes future possibilities.

“To make 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ project into a business, we need to discover ways of realizing profits from 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ assets that we will have after investments have been made and data has been collected. For example, tech companies such as Google and Microsoft have expanded 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノir businesses by taking advantage of 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ vast amounts of data 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノy have collected. While society needs ocean data, 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ infrastructure to collect such data is not yet in place. In 入金不要ボーナス最新カジノ future, when this infrastructure has been established, we envision businesses also being founded centered on ocean data.
