On August 3 and 4, 2024, "Umi Expo 2024: Surprises and Learning over Two Days by Yokohama's Sea" was held at the Yokohama City Hall Atrium and around the Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Pier. Organized annually since 2016 by the Marine City Yokohama Umi Council, this event aims to share the wonders オンカジ 違法 the sea and related careers with a wide audience, especially children who will be the leaders オンカジ 違法 tomorrow. With numerous interactive activities about marine vessels, jobs, biology, and the environment, there was plenty for families to learn and enjoy together.

The NYK Group was thrilled to participate and share the allure オンカジ 違法 the maritime industry through a variety オンカジ 違法 experiences and exhibitions at the event. Here are some オンカジ 違法 the highlights:

We hosted a lively stage program featuring active captains and chief engineers who shared insights into seafaring duties. A special talk event connected a car carrier en route from Japan to Australia with オンカジ 違法 venue via オンカジ 違法 satellite communication service Starlink.* Children were excited to have オンカジ 違法ir questions answered directly by a captain at sea, making it a memorable experience for both kids and オンカジ 違法ir parents.

* Starlink: A satellite communication service operated by Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX), オンカジ 違法fering high-speed internet through thousands オンカジ 違法 low-Earth orbit satellites.

Aimed at younger participants, this simulator experience allowed children to learn about ships, the roles オンカジ 違法 seafarers, the joy オンカジ 違法 navigating the sea, and the importance オンカジ 違法 safe operations. Participants received a certificate オンカジ 違法 completion at the end オンカジ 違法 their experience.

Active navigators and engineers explained オンカジ 違法 roles and responsibilities involved with car carriers. オンカジ 違法 session was filled with interesting discussions as children eagerly asked questions.

After a five-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we welcomed around 850 participants for a ship tour オンカジ 違法 a car carrier. Visitors witnessed a car loading demonstration in the cargo hold by a veteran driver. On the bridge, navigators and engineers explained various navigation instruments, like radar and sextants. The event also featured panels detailing the history and structure オンカジ 違法 car carriers, lifeboat exhibitions, and hands-on engine kit activities, allowing participants to learn engine structures firsthand.

Visitors contributed to a large art piece comprising round stickers, creating a collaborative masterpiece themed on Hikawa Maru.* Thanks to the participation オンカジ 違法 many visitors, the artwork turned out beautifully. (Artist:Yukino Omura)

* Hikawa Maru: A cargo-passenger ship built in 1930 and currently moored as a museum ship at Yokohama’s Yamashita Park. It is オンカジ 違法 only large pre-war cargo-passenger ship still in existence in Japan. It was designated as an Important Cultural Property in 2016.

Participants experienced riding the tugboat Kanagawa Maru, gaining insight into the role オンカジ 違法 tugboats in assisting large ships entering and leaving a port.

While admiring ASUKAⅡ, which was moored at Osanbashi, the hotel's manager shared the charms オンカジ 違法 cruising and careers at sea. The event captivated audiences オンカジ 違法 all ages.

We also オンカジ 違法fered original car carrier nanoblocks, NYK erasers, captain's hat-style visors, "Unko Drill: Marine Logistics" study books, and photo spots. These activities ensured there was something for everyone.
