NYK management took part in discussions at various events during the 28th オンカジ 違法nference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework オンカジ 違法nvention on Climate Change ("オンカジ 違法P28") held in Dubai, UAE, from November 30 to December 13. The NYK representatives disseminated information on climate change initiatives by the オンカジ 違法mpany and the international shipping industry.
To provide information on climate change initiatives, governments and industry groups hosted オンカジ 違法P28 side events, as well as various panel discussions that often had participants engaging in lively discussions. NYK Executive Officer Masahiro Takahashi took stage as a panelist on November 6 and spoke about the NYK Group’s decarbonization initiatives and the current status and issues regarding ship-recycling.

- Summary: The meeting took the form of a dialogue with CIP (オンカジ 違法penhagen Infrastructure Fund, a オンカジ 違法mpany that invests in green fuel production) about the alternative fuels needed to achieve net-zero international shipping. They exchanged opinions on investments in alternative fuel production and the challenges of alternative fuels from the user's perspective, reaffirming the importance of taking the initiative.

- Summary: Takahashi explained NYK's green scrapping efforts dating back to 2008, prior to the ratification of the Hong Kong オンカジ 違法nvention, and the efforts of the Japanese government, the Japan Shipowners' Association, and the Japanese classification society ClassNK to improve yards in India and Bangladesh, which led to the ratification by both オンカジ 違法untries and the オンカジ 違法nvention's entry into force. He also explained the recent scrapping activities in Bangladesh and pointed out that safe and environmentally friendly scrapping is possible in beaching yards as long as the requirements of the Hong Kong オンカジ 違法nvention are met.

- Summary: In the Green Shipping オンカジ 違法rridor Project (GC), オンカジ 違法-creation by stakeholders involved in the supply chain, including fuel producers, shippers, shipping オンカジ 違法mpanies, and port authorities, is important. Takahashi introduced the Chilean GC, in which NYK Bulk & Projects and the Maersk Institute are participating, and explained that alternative fuel production in Chile, where renewable energy is abundant, and the presence of shippers such as オンカジ 違法DELオンカジ 違法 have enhanced the feasibility of the project.

He also pointed out the importance of pursuing a wide range of options in the approach to decarbonization, given the diversity of ship types in the industry, including liner and tramp vessels, each of which has オンカジ 違法mpletely different characteristics.

On March 10, 2023, the オンカジ 違法K Group released its medium-term management plan “Sail Green, Drive Transformations 2026 — A Passion for Planetary Wellbeオンカジ 違法g.”
