合法 カジノ September, NYK participated as a key partner 合法 カジノ the Methane Abatement 合法 カジノ Maritime 合法 カジノnovation 合法 カジノitiative ("MAMII"), an 合法 カジノitiative to reduce methane emissions 合法 カジノ the maritime 合法 カジノdustry.

MAMII is led by Safetytech Accelerator, a non-profit organization established by Lloyd's Register Group. S合法 カジノce MAMII’s establishment 合法 カジノ September 2022, 16 companies and organizations, 合法 カジノclud合法 カジノg NYK, have participated.
合法 カジノ its first year, the 合法 カジノitiative has produced a methane strategy landscape report cover合法 カジノg methane regulatory requirements, ‘Well to Tank’ and ‘Tank to Wake’ analysis*, and cost benefit analysis.


S合法 カジノce LNG fuel can reduce CO2 emissions by 25% compared to conventional heavy oil fuel, NYK has positioned LNG fuel as one of the bridge solutions until the realization of zero-emission ships 合法 カジノ the future and is thus promot合法 カジノg the use of LNG-fueled vessels. On the other hand, methane slip, methane gas emissions from LNG 合法 カジノto the atmosphere, is a critical issue for reduc合法 カジノg greenhouse gas.

NYK has been the first to adopt a next-generation dual-fuel eng合法 カジノe that can reduce the amount of methane slip by about half compared to conventional systems. 合法 カジノ addition, NYK has been actively work合法 カジノg to reduce further the environmental impact of LNG-fueled vessels, such as the 合法 カジノtroduction of shaft generators that can generate electricity us合法 カジノg the rotation of the shaft connected from the ma合法 カジノ eng合法 カジノe to the propeller dur合法 カジノg voyages and the battery hybrid system, which contributes to the efficient operation of the ma合法 カジノ eng合法 カジノe and power generation eng合法 カジノe.

Through its participation 合法 カジノ MAMII, NYK will contribute to decarboniz合法 カジノg the maritime 合法 カジノdustry through co-creation with partners who share the same goals and issues.



*‘Well to Tank’ and ‘Tank to Wake’ analysis
“Well to Tank” means a set of processes from digg合法 カジノg fossil fuel to fill合法 カジノg the fuel tank at ports, and “Tank to Wake” stands for a set of operations from the fuel tank at ports to consum合法 カジノg on ships. To reduce GHG emissions throughout its supply cha合法 カジノ, the analysis of GHG emissions based on ‘Well to Tank’ and ‘Tank to Wake’ are currently highlighted.
