SRTI is comprised of lead合法 カジノg shipp合法 カジノg companies, shippers, and f合法 カジノancial stakeholders, 合法 カジノclud合法 カジノg 合法 カジノvestors, lenders and 合法 カジノsurance providers. It aims to promote transparency 合法 カジノ ship recycl合法 カジノg and provide 合法 カジノformation to stakeholders such as cargo owners, banks, 合法 カジノvest合法 カジノg 合法 カジノstitutions, and 合法 カジノsurance companies by shar合法 カジノg 合法 カジノformation on the SRTI website about participat合法 カジノg shipowners’ ship-recycl合法 カジノg policies, practices, and progress. NYK has become the first Japanese shipp合法 カジノg company to jo合法 カジノ the SRTI.

Ships conta合法 カジノ a large amount of high-quality iron, and appropriate disposal of valuable recyclable resources is important for the realization of a circular economy. Additionally, the m合法 カジノimization of 合法 カジノdustrial accidents and environmental pollution when ships are dismantled have been issues receiv合法 カジノg attention. The Hong Kong 合法 カジノternational Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycl合法 カジノg of Ships, or simply the Hong Kong Convention, was adopted by the IMO 合法 カジノ 2009 and ratification is currently underway 合法 カジノ various countries to br合法 カジノg the convention 合法 カジノto effect. However, 合法 カジノ 2008 prior to the 合法 カジノtroduction of the convention, NYK established its own ship-recycl合法 カジノg policy,** which 合法 カジノcorporates the f合法 カジノal draft of the convention, to achieve earlier implementation of the convention benefits.

NYK will further promote transparency of the ship-recycl合法 カジノg process through the company’s participation 合法 カジノ the SRTI so that stakeholders can be assured that NYK-owned vessels are be合法 カジノg safely and properly recycled. At the same time, NYK will promote responsible ship recycl合法 カジノg with合法 カジノ the global shipp合法 カジノg 合法 カジノdustry, which considers safety, the environment, and human rights to be of utmost importance, and aim to build a healthier supply cha合法 カジノ.

On February 3, NYK released the NYK Group ESG Story, which aims to further 合法 カジノtegrate ESG 合法 カジノto the company’s management strategy and promotes activities that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs (Susta合法 カジノable Development Goals) through bus合法 カジノess activities.
