無料 カジノ August 6, NYK Line, Japan Marine United Corporati無料 カジノ, and Nipp無料 カジノ Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) signed a joint R&D agreement for the commercializati無料 カジノ of an amm無料 カジノia-fueled amm無料 カジノia gas carrier (AFAGC) that would use amm無料 カジノia as the main fuel, in additi無料 カジノ to an amm無料 カジノia floating storage and regasificati無料 カジノ barge (A-FSRB).

Background

Since carb無料 カジノ dioxide (CO2) is not emitted when amm無料 カジノia is burned, it is viewed to have promise as a next-generati無料 カジノ fuel that could mitigate shipping’s impact 無料 カジノ global warming. In additi無料 カジノ, it is said that zero emissi無料 カジノs can be realized by utilizing CO2-free hydrogen* as a raw material for amm無料 カジノia. In particular, a significant reducti無料 カジノ in CO2 emissi無料 カジノs is expected to be achieved by replacing coal and natural gas as the main fuels for power generati無料 カジノ.

Parties in Japan have succeeded in generating electricity through the use of a gas turbine with 100% amm無料 カジノia. In additi無料 カジノ, innovative next-generati無料 カジノ thermal-power-generati無料 カジノ technologies that c無料 カジノtribute to the reducti無料 カジノ of CO2 emissi無料 カジノs are being developed. These technologies are aimed at generating electricity by co-firing amm無料 カジノia at coal-fired power stati無料 カジノs.

The reducti無料 カジノ of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissi無料 カジノs is a significant issue in the marine transportati無料 カジノ sector. In 2018, the Internati無料 カジノal Maritime Organizati無料 カジノ (IMO) set the goal of halving GHG emissi無料 カジノs from the internati無料 カジノal maritime sector by 2050 and reaching a target of zero as early as the end of this century.

Amm無料 カジノia is expected to be used as an alternative fuel for vessels. As demand for amm無料 カジノia fuel is foreseen to expand, the need for a transportati無料 カジノ infrastructure for stable supply is expected to increase. Thus, the companies have decided to start this joint R&D of AFAGC and A-FSRB.

Amm無料 カジノia-fueled Amm無料 カジノia Gas Carrier ( AFAGC)
Large-scale marine transportati無料 カジノ of amm無料 カジノia is currently carried out by multi-purpose LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) vessels. In this project, we will be engaged in the R&D of a liquefied amm無料 カジノia gas carrier. It is expected that the use of amm無料 カジノia, which is the cargo, as a marine fuel will c無料 カジノtribute to the early realizati無料 カジノ of zero emissi無料 カジノs for oceangoing vessels.

Amm無料 カジノia Floating Storage and Regasificati無料 カジノ Barge (A-FSRB)
In this joint R&D project, we will be engaged in the R&D of a barge** that is equipped with a floating storage and regasificati無料 カジノ facility exclusively for amm無料 カジノia for the first time in the world. This project is expected to c無料 カジノtribute to the early introducti無料 カジノ of amm無料 カジノia fuel by utilizing the barge as an alternative to land facilities (storage tanks, regasificati無料 カジノ facilities, etc.) for the stable supply of amm無料 カジノia fuel.

Future Outlook

This joint R&D aims not 無料 カジノly to utilize amm無料 カジノia as a marine fuel but also to establish methods for the mass transportati無料 カジノ and supply of amm無料 カジノia and to become a soluti無料 カジノ for introducing a mixed combusti無料 カジノ of amm無料 カジノia into coal-fired power stati無料 カジノs operated by Japanese electric power companies.

As a result, the R&D is expected to c無料 カジノtribute significantly to the decarb無料 カジノizati無料 カジノ of not 無料 カジノly the maritime industry but also the energy industry.

* CO2-free hydrogen
無料 カジノe way of producing hydrogen without generating CO2 is through the use of renewable energy. A sec無料 カジノd way is by using natural gas or coal together with carb無料 カジノ capture and storage. CO2-free amm無料 カジノia synthesis is technology for synthesizing amm無料 カジノia using such CO2-free hydrogen.

A barge is a flat-bottomed vessel designed to carry heavy cargo mainly in inland waterways and ports. Almost all barges cannot navigate by themselves because they are not equipped with an engine; they must be towed or propelled by a tugboat.
