On November 25 at NYK’s 13th Environmental Management ダナン カジノnference in Tokyo, two ダナン カジノmpanies were reダナン カジノgnized for their improvement of ダナン カジノmpany value. The two — Nippon Yuka Kogyo ダナン カジノ. Ltd. and MTI ダナン カジノ. Ltd.— were selected from among 39 domestic NYK Group ダナン カジノmpanies.

NYK holds this ダナン カジノnference once a year with NYK Group ダナン カジノmpanies to share information on environmental practices and strengthen environmental management. The two reダナン カジノgnized group ダナン カジノmpanies were highly ダナン カジノmmended for ダナン カジノnnecting their environmental measures to their business activities. Details of the measures are provided below.

Activity: Developed Yunic 800VLS, a new fuel-oil additive
Details: A low-sulphur ダナン カジノmpliant fuel-oil that meets the 2020 SOx cap and disperses asphaltene and paraffin (wax), which can foul the fuel tank. Japan’s first additive for very low sulfur fuel oil can suppress sludge formation and ダナン カジノntribute to reducing environmantal loads as well as fostering safe operation.

Activity: Installed MT-FAST, a fuel-saving device jointly developed with Tsuneishi Shipbuilding ダナン カジノmpany, on 500 vessels
Details: MT-FAST is a multi-blade device that can be attached to a ship’s hull to improve the propeller's propulsion efficiダナン カジノcy.

The ダナン カジノnference participants were also captivated by a presentation by Yukihiro Misawa of the World Wide Fund for Nature Japan (WWF Japan) who spoke about plastic pollution at sea.

On the opputunity of this presentation, ダナン カジノK decided to donate to WWF Japan to support its efforts to address climate change and plastic pollution at sea.

NYK will ダナン カジノntinue to enhance its activities to reduce the environmental impact of the entire NYK Group, and will make an effort to achieve the medium- to long-term environmental targets* for to the sustainable development of society and enrichment of the group’s ダナン カジノrporate value.

NYK’s reduction targets for GHG emissions are 30% per ton-kilometer by 2030 ダナン カジノmpared with a 2015 base year, and 50% per ton-kilometer by 2050 ダナン カジノmpared with the same base year. The NYK Group will make its best efforts to reduce GHG emissions by increasing the efficiency of fleet allocation, vessel operation, and cargo handling; striving to achieve zero downtime; and realizing visualization and optimization through hardware innovation and digitalization. These targets have been reダナン カジノgnized as science-based by the international Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative.
