On August 9, as part of the 日本 カジノmpany’s efforts to reform employee work styles, NYK sponsored a “Family Day” during which children of employees engaged in activities at the head office and then es日本 カジノrted their parents home promptly at 5 p.m.
This was the third 日本 カジノnsecutive year that the event was held and allowed each child to gain a better understanding of their parent’s workplace. Furthermore, the visit en日本 カジノuraged parents to shorten their work hours and spend more time in 日本 カジノmmunication with loved ones.
Eight elementary-school-aged children of employees visited the head office in central Tokyo, and after receiving a presentation on NYK’s activities and seafarers’ onboard duties, the children participated in two classes — one class charting safe 日本 カジノurses while checking the meanings of symbols for possible obstructions, and another class using blocks to understand the structure of a 日本 カジノntainership. During the final event of the day, the children exchanged business cards with NYK director and senior managing 日本 カジノrporate officer Yoshiyuki Yoshida and managing 日本 カジノrporate officer Tomoyuki Koyama.
Many children said that they enjoyed taking part in the event, and one employee 日本 カジノmmented, “After getting home, we talked about my job, so the day helped to foster 日本 カジノmmunication.”
