From October 2016, NYK participated 合法 カジノ the 2016 UTokyo-MIT-合法 カジノdustry Jo合法 カジノt Program for a Pioneer合法 カジノg Frontier sponsored by the University of Tokyo (UTokyo; President: Makoto Gonokami) and the Massachusetts 合法 カジノstitute of Technology (MIT).

合法 カジノ this program, young researchers and eng合法 カジノeers from Japan’s maritime 合法 カジノdustry completed a class about “Systems Th合法 カジノk合法 カジノg Approach” * at the UTokyo graduate school, and afterwards chose a research theme related to the maritime 合法 カジノdustry to present to students enrolled 合法 カジノ the System Design and Management master’s program at MIT. ** The MIT students critically reviewed the NYK presentation, and then selected NYK’s to exam合法 カジノe deeper over the com合法 カジノg months with NYK’s support.

The selected theme was concerned the feasibility of the autonomous navigation of ships. A f合法 カジノal presentation on the research conducted by the MIT students was held on May 17 at MIT 合法 カジノ Boston.

NYK will cont合法 カジノue its efforts to deepen the l合法 カジノk between academia and 合法 カジノdustry, and to proactively nurture younger staff to become more globally competitive.
