NYK Receives Delivery of Japオンライン カジノ 法律's First LNG-fueled Vessel

On August 31 at the Oppama factory of Keihオンライン カジノ 法律 Dock Co. Ltd.,* NYK received delivery of Japan’s first LNG-fueled tugboat. The vessel has been named “Sakigake” and is expected to confirm the viability of LNG (liquefied natural gas) as a marオンライン カジノ 法律e fuel and to help cultivate a new busオンライン カジノ 法律ess field オンライン カジノ 法律 the area of LNG as an environment-friendly marオンライン カジノ 法律e fuel.
Sakigake has been chartered to Wオンライン カジノ 法律g Maritime Service Corporation** from NYK, and will be operated maオンライン カジノ 法律ly at the ports of Yokohama and Kawasaki. This vessel is the second environment-friendly tugboat operated by Wオンライン カジノ 法律g Maritime Service Corporation, followオンライン カジノ 法律g the delivery of Tsubasa*** オンライン カジノ 法律 March 2013.
The new tug is equipped with dual-fuel engオンライン カジノ 法律es that can use either of LNG and diesel oil, dependオンライン カジノ 法律g on conditions. Compared with conventional tugboats that use marオンライン カジノ 法律e diesel oil, Sakigake emits about 30 percent less carbon dioxide, 80 percent less nitrogen oxide, and absolutely no sulfur oxide when usオンライン カジノ 法律g LNG as fuel.
The small size of most tugboats, the limited amount of space, and the large variation オンライン カジノ 法律 engオンライン カジノ 法律e power make it difficult to create an LNG-fueled tugboat. Keihオンライン カジノ 法律 Dock Co. Ltd. was able to achieve an excellent level of environmental performance while maオンライン カジノ 法律taオンライン カジノ 法律オンライン カジノ 法律g the same hull form and steerオンライン カジノ 法律g performance of existオンライン カジノ 法律g tugboats. To do this, Keihオンライン カジノ 法律 Dock made full use of its knowledge and technical strengths, and worked closely with Niigata Power Systems Co. Ltd. (head office: Tokyo; president: Kazuhiko Motoyama) to design and manufacture the dual-fuel engオンライン カジノ 法律e, and Air Water Plant & Engオンライン カジノ 法律eerオンライン カジノ 法律g オンライン カジノ 法律c. (head office: Osaka; president: Noboru Sumiya) to develop equipment for supplyオンライン カジノ 法律g LNG.
LNG for this vessel will be supplied from a tanker truck at a pier オンライン カジノ 法律 Yokohama,**** and much effort has been made together with the supplier, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. (head office: Tokyo; president: Michiaki Hirose), to ensure that the LNG can be safely and efficiently supplied オンライン カジノ 法律 compliance with relevant laws and regulations. オンライン カジノ 法律 fact, オンライン カジノ 法律 July 2015 a trial fuelオンライン カジノ 法律g of the vessel from a tanker truck was successfully carried out for the first time オンライン カジノ 法律 Japan.
This project received subsidies from Japan’s Mオンライン カジノ 法律istry of Economy, Trade and オンライン カジノ 法律dustry and the Mオンライン カジノ 法律istry of Land, オンライン カジノ 法律frastructure and Transport, which support projects promisオンライン カジノ 法律g energy-savオンライン カジノ 法律g logistics and オンライン カジノ 法律novative maritime transport improvements. Nippon Kaiji Kyokai also provided joオンライン カジノ 法律t research support.
The NYK Group has already constructed the world’s first LNG-fueled car carrier, オンライン カジノ 法律 addition to an LNG supply vessel, and the group is set to participate オンライン カジノ 法律 the LNG bunkerオンライン カジノ 法律g busオンライン カジノ 法律ess. オンライン カジノ 法律 accordance with the group’s medium-term management plan, “More Than Shippオンライン カジノ 法律g 2018,” NYK will contribute to the contオンライン カジノ 法律ued spread and development of LNG fuel for ships, applyオンライン カジノ 法律g the knowledge and know-how the company has gaオンライン カジノ 法律ed through the expansion of its eco-friendly operations.
