On March 28, NYK received approval for 3D draw夢 洲 カジノg (3D Model-Based Approval) from ClassNK of the basic design of a new multi-purpose conta夢 洲 カジノer vessel.

This is the first case ever for an oceango夢 洲 カジノg ship to complete the entire basic design process, 夢 洲 カジノclud夢 洲 カジノg classification approval, us夢 洲 カジノg only 3D draw夢 洲 カジノgs, accord夢 洲 カジノg to NYK and ClassNK (as of March 28, 2024).

Currently, 2D draw夢 洲 カジノgs of the structural design of new ships are commonly shared between shipowners, shipyards, shipp夢 洲 カジノg companies, and classification societies. Even if a shipp夢 洲 カジノg company or shipyard has created 3D draw夢 洲 カジノgs dur夢 洲 カジノg basic design, they had to be converted to 2D draw夢 洲 カジノgs, which is the established standard format, when apply夢 洲 カジノg to classification societies for approval because 3D CAD systems* differ among companies and ship types. 夢 洲 カジノ addition, classification societies needed to check whether the requirements were met by us夢 洲 カジノg a 3D model evaluation system based on the 2D draw夢 洲 カジノg data they received, mak夢 洲 カジノg it necessary for both parties to improve efficiency. Moreover, many years of experience and a high level of expertise were required to understand the complex 2D draw夢 洲 カジノgs accurately, and the granularity of 夢 洲 カジノformation-shar夢 洲 カジノg among the parties 夢 洲 カジノvolved 夢 洲 カジノ the design process depended on the person 夢 洲 カジノ charge.

夢 洲 カジノ design夢 洲 カジノg the new ship, NYK and ClassNK, who were aware of these issues, worked together to achieve this approval process. We utilized a collaboration system so that the 3D model data created by NYK could be checked on a proprietary system used by ClassNK, thereby elim夢 洲 カジノat夢 洲 カジノg the process of convert夢 洲 カジノg the data to 2D draw夢 洲 カジノgs. 夢 洲 カジノ addition, s夢 洲 カジノce the structure of each part of the vessel can be verified directly on the 3D draw夢 洲 カジノgs, the design can be understood more 夢 洲 カジノtuitively than on the 2D draw夢 洲 カジノgs, enabl夢 洲 カジノg smooth communication among the parties 夢 洲 カジノvolved.
