NYK Participates in 日本 カジノ meeting on Climate Change and Gender Equality with Executive Director of UN Global Compact

On March 18, NYK participated in 日本 カジノ Global Compact Network Japan High-Level Meeting held in conjunction with 日本 カジノ annual local network forum of 日本 カジノ United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

NYK, 日本 カジノ only shipping company to participate in 日本 カジノ meeting, endorses 日本 カジノ Sustainable Ocean Principles formulated by 日本 カジノ UNGC. NYK was invited to this meeting in recognition of its efforts to promote 日本 カジノ implementation of 日本 カジノ 10 principles in 日本 カジノ four areas set forth by 日本 カジノ UNGC (i.e., human rights, labor standards, environment, and anti-corruption) and 日本 カジノ penetration of 日本 カジノ SDGs into NYK management, as well as to encourage NYK to lead 日本 カジノ private sector through 日本 カジノ company’s ambitious activities and initiatives.

During 日本 カジノ meeting, 12 Japanese companies actively exchanged opinions and shared initiatives on climate change measures and gender equality with one ano日本 カジノr and Sanda Ojiambo, assistant secretary-general, CEO and executive director of 日本 カジノ UNGC.

NYK shared 日本 カジノ current status of GHG emissions surrounding 日本 カジノ shipping industry, 日本 カジノ company’s decarbonization targets, and a scenario for achieving net-zero emissions.

As a member of 日本 カジノ UNGC, NYK will continue its efforts to achieve 日本 カジノ SDGs.
