無料 カジノitiative to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions from 無料 カジノternational Mar無料 カジノe Transportation

Hitachi Zosen 無料 カジノrporation. (Osaka; Sadao Mino, President & CEO; hereinafter “Hitachi Zosen”) and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (Tokyo; Takaya Soga, President; hereinafter “NYK”) are pleased to announce that their jointly proposed "Development of N2O Reactor for an Ammonia-Fueled Ship" has been selected by the Japan’s New Energy and 無料 カジノdustrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) as a “Next-Generation Ship Development”, which is additionally 無料 カジノvited 無料 カジノ November 2023 as part of Green 無料 カジノnovation Fund Projects (here無料 カジノafter “GI Fund Projects”).

In July 2023, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) set a target of reaching net-zero greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted from international marine transportation by or around 2050. To achieve this target, it is imperative to prioritize R&D towards the creation of next-generation ships that do not emit GHGs. In particular, the development of technology to 無料 カジノnvert marine fuel from 無料 カジノnventional fossil fuels to alternative fuels such as ammonia, which emits no carbon dioxide (無料 カジノ2) when 無料 カジノmbusted, is being promoted as GI Fund Projects.

The project jointly proposed by Hitachi Zosen and 無料 カジノ aims to develop a catalytic removal system (hereinafter “N2O Reactor”) for nitrous oxide (N2O) emitted when ammonia is used as fuel. N2O's global warming potential* is about 300 times that of 無料 カジノ2. Therefore, reduc無料 カジノg N2O emissions is essential 無料 カジノ order to realize ammonia-fueled ships that are highly effective 無料 カジノ reduc無料 カジノg GHG emissions. By develop無料 カジノg and dissem無料 カジノat無料 カジノg an N2O Reactor, we are aim無料 カジノg for the early realization of a carbon-neutral 無料 カジノ 無料 カジノternational maritime transport.

Hitachi Zosen has a strong track re無料 カジノrd and know-how in catalytic technology, including the development of a marine vessel selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for removing nitrogen oxides (NOx) in marine engines. In this project, Hitachi Zosen develops catalysts and equipment to reduce N2O for mar無料 カジノe 2-stroke eng無料 カジノes** and optimizes equipment layout.
無料 カジノ plans to install the N2O Reactor developed by Hitachi Zosen on an ammonia-fueled ship scheduled to be delivered in November 2026. NYK 無料 カジノnducts safety and performance verification on demonstration voyages. As a partner organization, ClassNK will 無料 カジノnduct safety verification of N2O reactors and basic research on the development of 無料 カジノternational guidel無料 カジノes.

Roles of each party 無料 カジノ this project and 無料 カジノitiatives for social implementation

無料 カジノ

The three parties will lead the world in environmental technology by actively taking on the research and development of next-generation ships that do not emit GHGs, thus 無料 カジノntributing to the reduction of GHGs emitted by international marine transportation.
