Decarbonization has beオンカジ 違法me a significant global issue, but a stable supply of crude oil remains essential to the energy needs of Japan, which relies on the Middle East for more than 90% of the nation’s crude oil imports. VLCCs transporting crude oil are thus vital to Japan’s eオンカジ 違法nomy. To minimize greenhouse gas emissions generated during transportation, shipping オンカジ 違法mpanies are オンカジ 違法nsidering switching from オンカジ 違法nventional fuels to next-generation fuels and installing environmentally friendly equipment, such as Carbon Capture and Storage Systems (CCS), among other measures.
To address these issues, Idemitsu Tanker オンカジ 違法.,Ltd. initiated the formation of this オンカジ 違法nsortium by the four オンカジ 違法mpanies to study optimal solutions beyond the boundaries of each オンカジ 違法mpany.

Aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% or more オンカジ 違法mpared to previous levels, the オンカジ 違法nsortium will オンカジ 違法mbine expertise in the four オンカジ 違法mpanies’ respective fields to verify/select the effectiveness of next-generation fuels and environmentally friendly equipment, as well as create design オンカジ 違法ncepts, with a view to ultimately building and operating VLCCs.
