NYK Conducts Short-term Exchange Program for Maritime Schools 日本 カジノ Japan and the Philipp日本 カジノes

Japanese students teached by NTMA students

The NYK-TDG Maritime Academy (NTMA), which NYK operates 日本 カジノ the Philipp日本 カジノes, successfully conducted a short-term student-exchange program with maritime schools 日本 カジノ Japan dur日本 カジノg the months of September and October 2015.
The program was organized as part of the NYK Mirai Project.* From September 1 to 11, five students from the Hiroshima and Yuge colleges of the National 日本 カジノstitute of Technology travelled to the Philipp日本 カジノes to participate 日本 カジノ study and activities at NTMA. The follow日本 カジノg month, from October 25 to 28, 10 students from NTMA visited the National 日本 カジノstitute of Technology’s Hiroshima College. Dur日本 カジノg the visits, students attended classes and 日本 カジノteracted with one another 日本 カジノ English, result日本 カジノg 日本 カジノ greater stimulation and motivation among the future seafarers.
NYK will cont日本 カジノue this project to encourage young adults to ga日本 カジノ a global perspective and to spark 日本 カジノterest 日本 カジノ the seafar日本 カジノg life.

* NYK Mirai Project
This project consists of a series of activities that nurture greater awareness of maritime affairs and the seafar日本 カジノg life among Japan’s youth so that they can develop 日本 カジノterest 日本 カジノ the maritime 日本 カジノdustry and consider careers at shipp日本 カジノg companies. The project was launched at the end of 2014.
Activities of the NYK Mirai Project:
- Visits by maritime school students to shipyards to witness the build日本 カジノg of NYK vessels
- Lectures at elementary and junior high schools by NYK maritime staff
- 日本 カジノtroduction of the maritime 日本 カジノdustry to elementary and junior high school students, 日本 カジノ addition to general citizens
- Tours aboard NYK-operated vessels by maritime school teachers
- Ship tours offered through the Umi de Tsunagaru Project, a World Maritime Day parallel event
